Talkeetna Mountain Range in Alaska’s Denali State Park | Tour Tuesday Feature

Written by McKenna Hogan | Aug 5, 2019 10:03:34 PM
Composed of 325,240 acres, Denali State Park- not to be confused with Denali National Park- is a neighbor to Anchorage and Fairbanks. With quite a diverse landscape, the area has everything from lowland streams to alpine tundra.

Denali is a word from Tanana Indians, meaning “The High One.”

Although much of the mountains are covered by snow and ice, the park remains famous for recreational activities like camping and exploring.

Since Alaska sees 21 hours of possible daylight during the summers, recreational activities are popular in this area.
